REAL SALON WORK EXPERIENCE will be provided to all Beauty students. By participating in our purpose-built Student Beauty Salon for real-life work experience, students will have the amazing opportunity to be trained in all required salon-ready skill areas such as arranging bookings, greeting clients, consulting and providing a wide range of beauty services to the public. We are proud to see our graduates develop all of the necessary skills and knowledge to work effectively in leading salons or open their own business. Our student to teacher ratio is also purposely kept low, to facilitate effective learning.

DESCRIPTION OF DIPLOMA OF BEAUTY THERAPY

The Diploma of Beauty Therapy from Melbourne’s own ACH Database reflects the role of individuals who are competent in a broad range of beauty therapy treatments and services which may include facial massage, body massage, hair removal, spa treatments, lash and brow treatments, manicure & pedicure, make-up application, aromatherapy, providing advice on beauty treatments and services, selling retail skin care and cosmetic products and coordinating a work team.

Work would be undertaken as skilled beauty therapists in salons, spas and the wider beauty industry. You will find ACH Database graduates workings in leading beauty salons, day spas, resorts, hotels, cruise liners and owning their own successful business.

Entry Requirements

All students must undertake a LLN assessment to ensure they have sufficient LLN skills to complete the course.

Students intending to access VET FEE-HELP will need to provide a certified copy of a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education for completion of Year 12 OR achieve an exit level 3 in Reading and Numeracy to be eligible.
